We recently held a very successful workshop for parents and carers,  exploring reading with children and how to maximise the learning opportunity.  We had a chance to play some vocabulary games to engage and excite children around learning new words. During the session, we looked at two different types of questions: ‘right there’ and ‘think and search’ and parents and carers who took part had a go at making up their own questions using a range of books, some of them the children’s AR books.
